I've yet to do the quest chain so I went to the wiki to take a look at the walkthrough. I saw that there're many phases where I'll have to stand around reading boring dialogue bubbles.

Anyway I can skip them or something?

No. Most will not update until you sit through the whole conversation.

If the walkthrough says you mist listen to a full conversion then you must.

its a lot more simpler than the wiki makes it seem, do this:

Beat Gwen or Prophesies --> Trial of Zinn --> Go to Shining Blade camp --> Watch dialog #1 & zone --> Watch dialog #2 & zone --> Watch dialog #4 (dialog #3 will be skipped since you already did the trial of Zinn) & go to lions arch keep to begin questing.

Edit: be sure to check this page (War in Kryta dialogues) to see what dialogs u have to sit through and when you can start running back to zone.
